If there is another school at-home moms (or fathers) out there?

We have been homeschooling our 8 children (aged 16, 14, 12, 9 7, 5, 4, and 2) since our oldest was in kindergarten. love. Each year we give them the opportunity to go to public school, and he wants to stay in education home. used the same routine for 11 years. Get up at 5:30, making your bed or clean the area / dressing room 5:40 to 6:00, do the work in the field 6:00 to 7:00, Breakfast 7:15 – 8, then 8:15 to 9:45 in English, Mathematics 9:45 – 11 am, Science 23 hours AM-12: 30 Lunch 12:30 to 1:15, 01: 20-02:30 History, Bible / Art / Music 2:35-4, homework in the afternoon then free time until dinner. therefore becomes blah blah and boring routine. I the best of switching / lighten our program a little. How is through the school day at home? thanks for your ideas.

First I congratulate you all know hard work sometimes goes unnoticed. 8 children, thankfully, they are a blessing! I would try to add extras, like making Friday a day of site visit, even if you just go to a park or forest and see the leaves, nature, and others. It's what I do my 2 next year. Again, the stability of routine gives children a lot of comfort. They know what is expected of them and I'm sure that for the most part they do. I do not change much as what you do works.
